Conscious Dying

Learn what conscious dying is, and how energy healers can assist the dying.

What is Conscious Dying?

Conscious dying is the art of learning how to die by practicing before the actual time of transition.

Says Diane Goble, Director of the Transition Guide Training Program, and author of Through the Tunnel: A Traveler's Guide to Spiritual Rebirth, "We all have the ability to train ourselves to die consciously by practicing how to die long before it is our time to transition ... by which time our practice will have become instinctual.

"By die consciously, I don't necessarily mean awake... I mean immediately aware of what's happening to us when we leave our body, what to expect next and what our options are. In life, through meditation, we can learn to let go to the Light on a daily basis and have some of the experiences we will all have when we make our transition... so there will be no fear or confusion, especially if it happens suddenly, unexpectedly. We free ourselves from our fear of death and learn to appreciate each moment we are alive when we remember that there is another side of life... our spiritual journey."

How Energy Healers Can Assist the Dying

Energy healers can assist the terminally ill and the dying by using their energy art (Jing-Qi-Shen, Reiki, Qi Gong, etc.) before the transition by helping the client to become familiar with the experience, work through their life review, and forgiveness and gratitude issues. During the transition process, the energy healer helps alleviate any discomfort during the transition process, and to read a uniquely prepared "guidebook" to the otherside.

Transition Guides are specially trained to administer this compassionate art form. Transition Guide Trainers may be those with relevant degrees, such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, and alternative care therapists, who are able to integrate this training into their current work.

Transition Guides may also be church pastors or lay ministers, energy workers, hospice volunteers, home health aides, and friends and families of the dying. Coaches could be professionals with counseling degrees, licensed alternative therapists, or ordained ministers who charge a fee or suggest a donation for their services.

The Jing-Qi-Shen Foundationfully endorses and fully supports Ms. Goble's work and training programs for The Art of Conscious Dying. To find out more about the training program and Conscious Dying in general, please double click on the link below.
